New knee surgery study aims to save cartilage and delay arthritis

Summary

This study is testing a specific surgical repair technique for a serious type of knee cartilage tear called a meniscus root tear. It will follow 55 adults to see if the surgery improves their activity levels and knee function. Researchers also want to find out if this repair can help slow down the development of arthritis in the injured knee.
