Knee repair boost: microfracture may improve meniscus healing

NCT ID NCT07609849

First seen Jun 08, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether adding a small bone-drilling procedure (microfracture) to standard meniscus repair helps the knee heal better. Thirty adults aged 18-50 with isolated meniscus tears will be randomly assigned to get repair alone or repair plus microfracture. Researchers will compare knee function and MRI results to see if the combination leads to better outcomes.
