New MRI scan could help surgeons plan meningioma removal

NCT ID NCT06955208

First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests a new MRI technique that measures how stiff a meningioma brain tumor is before surgery. Researchers want to see if this stiffness matches what surgeons find during the operation and the tumor's cell makeup. About 300 patients will take part, and the goal is to help doctors plan safer surgeries. This is an observational study, not a treatment.
