Summary

This study tested whether melatonin patches, a natural sleep aid, can reduce dental anxiety in children. Fifty-two healthy kids aged 5-7 received either a melatonin patch or a placebo sticker before dental treatment. Researchers measured anxiety using a child-friendly scale, blood pressure, and pulse rate. The goal was to find a safer alternative to current anxiety medications.
