New gel tested to fight gum disease
NCT ID NCT07316582
Summary
This study is testing if a gel containing melatonin, a natural hormone, can help treat moderate gum disease (periodontitis). The gel is placed directly into the infected gum pockets. Researchers will measure if it helps the gums reattach to the teeth better than standard treatment alone.
