Can a sleep aid pill help grumpy, tired teens?
NCT ID NCT04588233
Summary
This small pilot study is checking if it's practical to research whether melatonin supplements help teenagers who have trouble sleeping. It will enroll about 80 teens with sleep issues to see if taking melatonin for two weeks improves their sleep length and helps them manage their emotions better during the day. The study is not testing for a cure, but to see if melatonin eases sleep problems and related daytime struggles.
