Sleep aid pill tested as potential Parkinson's helper

Summary
This study is testing whether adding melatonin, a common sleep supplement, to standard Parkinson's medication (levodopa) can help control the disease better. Researchers will give 70 patients with mild to moderate Parkinson's either melatonin or a placebo pill nightly for 12 weeks. They will check if melatonin reduces markers of brain stress and inflammation and improves patients' movement symptoms compared to the placebo.
