Can a sleep hormone ease the pain of childbirth surgery?
NCT ID NCT07380568
Summary
This study is testing whether taking melatonin, a natural hormone, before a planned C-section can help control pain after the surgery. Researchers will give 60 women different doses of melatonin to see which works best to reduce pain and lower the need for strong opioid painkillers. The goal is to find a safe, simple way to improve recovery after childbirth.
