Night-Owl fix for bipolar moods? melatonin study aims to reset brain clock
NCT ID NCT06226025
Summary
This study is testing whether taking a low-dose melatonin supplement (a hormone that helps regulate sleep) along with a behavioral sleep coaching program can help shift the body's internal clock earlier and improve both mood and sleep in people with bipolar disorder. Researchers will compare this combination to a placebo plus a less intensive sleep program. The goal is to see if this approach helps people feel less depressed and get their sleep schedule on a healthier track.
