First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking an oral medication (tranexamic acid) along with a skin treatment (microneedling with glutathione) works better than either treatment alone for melasma, a condition causing dark patches on the face. The trial will involve 42 women aged 18 to 50 with facial melasma. Researchers will measure changes in the size and severity of the dark patches and ask participants how satisfied they are with the results.
