Summary
This study tested whether a drug called pembrolizumab could prevent melanoma from coming back after surgery in high-risk patients. Over 1,000 participants who had their melanoma surgically removed were randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo. The main goal was to see if the drug helped people live longer without their cancer returning.
