Scientists hunt clues to why skin cancer fights back against treatment

NCT ID NCT05307289

Summary

This study aims to understand why some melanoma skin cancers become resistant to immunotherapy treatments. Researchers will analyze tumor samples from 20 patients with advanced melanoma before and after they receive immunotherapy. By studying how cancer cells' energy systems change, they hope to find new ways to overcome treatment resistance in the future.
