Fat-immune cell crosstalk may predict melanoma metastasis

NCT ID NCT07293598

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study examines stored tissue samples from 20 melanoma patients to see if interactions between fat cells and immune cells near the tumor can predict whether the cancer will spread. Researchers will analyze the arrangement of these cells and test their effects in the lab. The goal is to better understand what makes some melanomas more aggressive, not to provide a direct treatment.
