Scientists hunt for hidden melanoma cells in 'Healthy' tissue
NCT ID NCT02854124
Summary
This study aimed to understand if melanoma cells spread into nearby healthy skin and lymph nodes very early in the disease. Researchers analyzed tissue samples from 226 patients with early-stage melanoma to look for these hidden cells. They wanted to see if finding these cells could help predict a patient's long-term survival and guide future treatments.
