Doctors test direct spinal injection of immune cells to fight deadly brain melanoma

NCT ID NCT07414979

Summary

This is an early safety study testing a new treatment for melanoma that has spread to the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. Doctors will collect a patient's own immune cells, grow them to target melanoma, and inject them directly into the spinal fluid. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe for up to 6 patients with this specific type of advanced cancer.
