New drug combo tested before brain surgery for melanoma patients
NCT ID NCT05704933
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This early study tested whether giving a single dose of nivolumab with either ipilimumab or relatlimab before surgery is safe and possible in people with melanoma that has spread to the brain. Only one person took part, so the main goal was to see if the study could recruit enough patients and to compare immune cell changes in the tumor samples. The study did not aim to cure or control the disease, but to gather information for future research.
