NCT ID NCT07372300

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This phase 3 trial tests whether adding a special heat treatment (modulated electro-hyperthermia) to standard therapy helps shrink tumors more in adults with locally advanced rectal cancer. About 126 participants will be randomly assigned to receive standard therapy alone or with the heat treatment. The goal is to see if the combination leads to better tumor down-staging and complete response rates.
