New gel shows promise for knee cartilage repair in older adults

Summary

This study tested a product called MegaCarti® to help regrow cartilage in the knee. It included 61 adults aged 50 to 65 with knee cartilage damage. All participants had a standard microfracture procedure, and some also received MegaCarti®. The main goal was to see if MegaCarti® improved cartilage regrowth on MRI scans after 48 weeks.
