Summary
This study looked at whether a special PET scan tracer called F-DOPA can better find leftover cancer in lymph nodes after thyroid surgery compared to standard scans. Twenty-four adults with high levels of the tumor marker thyrocalcitonin after surgery took part. The goal was to see if this new imaging method helps doctors decide on further treatment more accurately.
