NCT ID NCT05681559
First seen Jun 13, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 13, 2026
Summary
This study tested whether following a Mediterranean-style diet could help prevent repeat episodes of diverticulitis, a painful digestive condition. 71 adults who had recently recovered from diverticulitis were randomly assigned to either a Mediterranean diet or standard fiber guidance. Researchers tracked how well participants stuck to the diet and measured inflammation markers over 12 months to see if this approach is feasible and effective.
