First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether eating a Mediterranean diet (rich in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and olive oil) can improve gut health, quality of life, and treatment outcomes for people with early-stage breast cancer receiving chemotherapy. About 105 participants will be randomly assigned to either follow the Mediterranean diet with guidance or continue their usual diet. The main goal is to see changes in gut bacteria, but the study also measures well-being and social factors.
