First seen May 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether scheduled meditation using the Headspace app can help people recover after pancreatectomy (surgery to remove part or all of the pancreas). About 70 adults scheduled for this surgery will be asked to meditate regularly before and after their operation. Researchers will measure pain, anxiety, sleep, stress, and mobility to see if meditation improves recovery.
