New hope for binge eating after bariatric surgery: drug may keep weight off
NCT ID NCT04605081
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tests whether a combination medication (naltrexone/bupropion) can help people who had weight-loss surgery avoid relapsing into loss-of-control eating and regain weight. About 100 adults who responded well to an earlier treatment will receive either the medication or a placebo for maintenance. The goal is to see if the drug keeps binge eating away and helps maintain a lower body weight over time.
