Can a simple class help people with serious mental illness take their meds?
NCT ID NCT07374588
Summary
This study is testing whether a structured education program helps hospitalized patients with conditions like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder take their psychiatric medications more consistently. Researchers will teach one group of patients about their illness, their medications, and how to handle side effects, while another group receives standard hospital care alone. The goal is to see if this extra education leads to better medication adherence and easier management of side effects.
