New 'Napoleon' device aims to improve measurements after gastric bypass

NCT ID NCT04832282

Summary

This study is testing a new device called Napoleon to measure the size of the stomach opening in people who have had gastric bypass surgery and regained weight. During a routine endoscopy, doctors will first estimate the opening size by eye, then measure it with the Napoleon device to see if the tool gives more accurate or consistent results. The goal is to see if this tool is practical and easy for doctors to use, which could help guide future treatment decisions.
