Heart patients get help finding meaning to ease distress

NCT ID NCT07262580

Summary

This study is testing if a new, brief talk therapy can help people in cardiac rehabilitation. The therapy focuses on helping patients explore what gives their life personal meaning, with the goal of reducing emotional distress and improving their sense of well-being. Researchers are trying three different formats of the therapy—for individuals, for patient-relative pairs, and for groups—to see which works best and is most practical for patients and healthcare staff.
