Study tests if a sugary snack before exercise is best for diabetics

NCT ID NCT07175740

Summary

This small study aimed to understand how the type of food eaten before exercise affects blood sugar levels in men with type 2 diabetes. Fifteen participants ate different test meals (high in glucose, fructose, fat, or a sugar substitute) and then performed a one-hour cycling session. Researchers measured their blood sugar and insulin levels to see which meal led to the best response after exercise.
