New drug duo tested in fight against aggressive blood disorder

Summary

This study is testing a combination of two drugs, omacetaxine and azacitidine, for people newly diagnosed with a high-risk type of bone marrow disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). The first part of the study aims to find the safest and most effective dose of the combination. The second part will use that dose to see how well it works to control the disease and keep it from getting worse.
