Can party drugs help control OCD? new study pits MDMA against methamphetamine
NCT ID NCT05783817
Summary
This study is testing whether MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy) or methamphetamine, when combined with talk therapy, can help reduce symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It will involve 40 adults with moderate to severe OCD who haven't gotten enough help from standard treatments. The goal is to see if these drug-assisted therapy sessions are safe and more effective than therapy alone.
