Summary
This study tests whether MDMA-assisted therapy can help cancer patients and their close loved ones cope with adjustment disorder—a condition causing severe emotional distress after a cancer diagnosis. Twenty participants (10 patient-loved one pairs) will receive two doses of MDMA along with therapy sessions over 8 weeks. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, tolerable, and effective in reducing distress and improving relationship satisfaction.
