First seen Apr 07, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether MDMA (the active ingredient in ecstasy) can reduce pain. Twenty healthy adults will receive either MDMA or a placebo, while mild pain is created using small electrical pulses under the skin. Researchers will compare how MDMA affects the pain experience. The goal is to understand if MDMA could be used as a future pain treatment.
