Scientists track rare bone disease to unlock its secrets

NCT ID NCT00001727

Summary

This study aims to understand the long-term progression of McCune-Albright Syndrome, a rare disorder that causes abnormal bone growth, skin spots, and hormonal issues. Researchers will follow up to 500 patients over time, collecting health data and tissue samples to learn how the disease develops and changes. The goal is to gather knowledge that could lead to better future treatments, but this study itself does not test any new therapies.
