Gut bacteria tested as potential new weapon against bowel disease

NCT ID NCT06582264

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested the safety of a new treatment called MB310, which is made of specific live bacteria. It involved 29 adults with active, mild-to-moderate ulcerative colitis. The main goal was to see if the treatment was safe and if the bacteria could successfully live in the patients' guts, while also looking for early signs that it might help control the disease.
