Summary
This was the first study in people to check if a new oral drug called MB-001 is safe. It was tested in 48 healthy volunteers who took either the drug or a placebo. Researchers measured side effects and how the drug behaved in the body to decide if it's safe to test in patients with ulcerative colitis.
