Summary
This early-stage study tested whether the oral biologic MB-001 is safe in 48 healthy adults aged 18 to 65. Participants received either a single dose or five daily doses of the drug or a placebo, and were monitored for side effects. The study is complete, and results will help decide if further testing in people with ulcerative colitis is warranted.
