Summary

This study creates a biobank of blood and fluid samples from up to 100 people who have received or will receive phage therapy for antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections. Researchers will review medical records and collect biospecimens to better understand how phage therapy works. The goal is to support future research and improve treatment options for hard-to-treat infections.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this biobank could help researchers understand how phage therapy works against antibiotic-resistant infections.

What could go wrong

This is an observational biobank study, not a treatment trial. It collects information but does not test whether phage therapy itself is effective or safe.
