Summary
This early-stage study tests whether the drug mavoglurant can help heavy drinkers with Alcohol Use Disorder reduce their cravings and alcohol consumption. About 63 adults aged 21-50 who drink heavily will take the drug and then have their drinking and cravings measured in a controlled setting. The goal is to see if mavoglurant can be a useful tool for managing alcohol use.
