First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study explores whether hormones in a mother's blood and breast milk are linked to her baby's growth, body fat, and eating behavior. Researchers will compare mothers who were normal weight before pregnancy with those who were overweight or obese. About 130 mothers and their infants will provide blood, milk, and saliva samples to measure key hormones. The goal is to better understand how maternal weight might influence infant development.
