NCT ID NCT02474745
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at two different ways of pushing during the final stage of labor: holding your breath while pushing (closed-glottis) versus pushing while breathing out (open-glottis). Researchers wanted to see which method leads to fewer injuries and better outcomes for both mother and newborn. A total of 256 women participated, and the results help guide safer delivery practices.
