Could a Mother's stress shape her Baby's brain after a heart defect diagnosis?

NCT ID NCT06711666

Summary

This study aims to understand if a mother's stress, anxiety, or depression during pregnancy affects how her child's brain develops during the first year of life. It will follow about 87 families in France where the baby was diagnosed before birth with a serious heart defect requiring early surgery. Researchers will measure parents' mental health during pregnancy and then assess the child's learning, language, and motor skills at age one to look for connections.
