Gentle massage could ease recovery after surgery

Summary
This study is testing if teaching patients a simple, gentle abdominal massage before their surgery can help prevent constipation afterwards. It will involve 42 patients having abdominal surgery. Half will learn the massage technique in addition to their usual care, and the other half will receive usual care only to compare the results.
