First seen Jun 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether adding weekly medical massage therapy to standard care helps active-duty service members with subacute lower back pain recover more quickly. About 220 participants will either receive standard care alone or standard care plus massage for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure pain, disability, and time off duty to see if massage makes a meaningful difference.
