Summary

This small study tested whether gentle massage techniques focused on the head, neck, and shoulders could help reduce depression symptoms. Twenty-five adults with moderate to severe depression received weekly 30-minute massage sessions for eight weeks. Researchers measured changes in depression and physical symptom scores to see if this hands-on approach provided additional relief.
