First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a 20-minute session in an automated massage chair can help the body relax and recover in healthy young women aged 19-26. Researchers compared female university athletes to non-athletes to see if physical activity level changes the effect. Participants had their heart rate measured before the massage and again at 24, 48, and 72 hours after to track short-term changes in stress and recovery balance.
