New pill aims to halt MS disability in its tracks

NCT ID NCT05441488

Summary

This large, late-stage study is testing whether an oral medication called masitinib can slow the worsening of disability in people with progressive forms of multiple sclerosis (MS). Over two years, 800 participants will receive either masitinib or a placebo pill to see which group experiences slower progression of symptoms, such as walking difficulties. The main goal is to delay the time it takes for a person's disability to get measurably worse.
