Summary
This study aimed to understand how heart surgery affects the mental health and daily life of adults with Marfan syndrome. Researchers followed 28 patients from three UK hospitals, asking them to complete surveys about their mood, energy, and quality of life before and for a year after their operation. The goal was to gather information to help design better support for patients recovering from this major surgery.
