Hands-On therapy eases jaw pain for arthritis patients
NCT ID NCT07171671
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tested two types of manual therapy (muscle massage and joint mobilization) for jaw problems in 57 adults with rheumatoid arthritis. Both treatments reduced pain, improved jaw movement, and lessened headaches and anxiety compared to no treatment. The results suggest these therapies can help manage symptoms, but they do not cure the underlying arthritis.
