New cocktail aims to tackle tough lymphoma
NCT ID NCT06854003
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing a five-drug combination for people with untreated mantle cell lymphoma. The treatment includes standard chemotherapy plus newer targeted drugs. After initial therapy, some participants will receive an additional drug (sonrotoclax) to see if it helps keep the cancer away longer. The study will enroll about 60 people and track how well the cancer responds and any side effects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
bendamustine, rituximab, cytarabine, zanubrutinib, and sonrotoclax
What this could lead to
If successful, this could offer a more effective first-line treatment for mantle cell lymphoma, potentially leading to longer remissions and better disease control.
What could go wrong
This is an early phase 2 trial with only 60 participants, so results are preliminary. The drug combination may cause serious side effects, and it's unknown if adding sonrotoclax will improve outcomes.
