Summary
This early-stage study tests whether metformin, a standard diabetes medication, can reduce pain and improve healing in people with chronic Achilles tendon pain. Forty non-diabetic adults will take either metformin or a placebo for 16 weeks, combined with a home exercise program. The goal is to see if the drug can ease symptoms and support tendon repair.
