Your mammogram could also warn about heart disease

NCT ID NCT04983875

Summary

This study is testing whether telling women about a specific finding on their mammogram—calcifications in breast arteries—helps them take steps to improve their heart health. Researchers will enroll over 5,700 women to measure how common this finding is. Then, they will tell some women about it to see if this information leads them to make doctor appointments or lifestyle changes to protect their heart.
